On 12 May, Da Nang welcomed the first direct charter flight to the city from Novosibirsk City in the Russian Federation. The 74 tourists on board are on 10 - 15 day tours and are staying at luxury hotels and resorts in Da Nang, Hoi An and Nha Trang.
The Vietnamese private airline VietJetAir recently announced that it will launch scheduled daily flights from Ha Noi to both Da Nang and Nha Trang. The Ha Noi–Nha Trang route will open on 19 May, and flights from Ha Noi to Da Nang will begin on 24 May.
