On 22 July the fourth National Festival of Sports and Arts for People with Disabilities, opened in Da Nang with the participation of more than 800 disabled athletes and artists in 26 teams from cities and provinces nationwide. Senior officials of Da Nang and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Yoon Seok Yong, President of the Republic of Korea’s Paralympic Committee were present at the event.

On 28 July the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism reported that revenue from the city tourism sector has had an annual increase of 20% over the last five years.
