Australian Ambassador to visit Da Nang

The Australia Embassy to Viet Nam recently announced that his Ambassador, HE Mr Craig Chittick, will pay his third official visit to Da Nang from 2 to 6 June.  The visit demonstrates Australia's commitment to the socio-economic development of Da Nang and will showcase Australia's cooperation with Da Nang in various areas, including the organisation of the 2017 APEC Economic Leaders’ Week (AELW 2017) in the city. 

Ambassador Craig Chittick will attend the welcome ceremony for the Royal Australian Navy's HMAS Ballarat at Tien Sa Port on 4 June

Within the framework of his visit, the Ambassador will undertake a wide range of activities including meeting with the Secretary of the Municipal Party’s Committee Nguyen Xuan Anh, welcoming the Royal Australian Navy's HMAS Ballarat, visiting Australia-sponsored English training for Da Nang officials involved in APEC as well as an English language and hospitality skills training course delivered by the William Angliss Institute in partnership with Dong A University; and attending the performances of Australian didgeridoo players and fireworks display by Australian technicians at the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2017 (DIFF 2017).

In addition, Ambassador Craig Chittick will visit Australia’s newly-opened Visa Application Centre, meet Australian volunteers working in Da Nang and Hoi An, and attend a reception for Australian alumni.
