Da Nang to Host Viet Nam Skateboarding Championship 2016Da Nang will host the first-ever Viet Nam Skateboarding Championship in 2016, and this will be a good opportunity for the city to advertise its image to international friends. The organisation of this sporting event was discussed by the Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, Mr. Phung Tan Viet, and the Chairman of the International Skateboarding Federation (ISF) cum Chief Executive Officer of the World Skateboarding Grand Prix in the USA, Mr. Tim McFerran, at a meeting in the city on 17 November.

Da Nang Airport Receives Its Six Millionth PassengerOn 24 November, the Da Nang International Airport cooperated with the Vietnam Airlines to hold a ceremony to celebrate the arrival of the six millionth air passenger to the city during 2015. Pham Van Tai, the Deputy General Director of the Truong Hai Auto Corporation, on Vietnam Airlines' flight VNA108 from HCM City to Da Nang, became the lucky passenger.

Da Nang to Have ‘Dolphinarium'The Da Nang People’s Committee recently approved the location near the western end of the Thuan Phuoc Bridge in Hai Chau District for the Dolphinarium project of the Petersburg Dolphinarium Co Ltd from Russia. This Dolphinarium will cover an area of 2.5 hectares within the land lot designated for the city's theatre and cultural centre project.
