The upgrading of the Da Nang International Exhibition Fair Centre into the International Press Center of the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week 2017 (AELW) involves a total investment of 178.2 billion VND.
The three-stage International Press Centre will accommodate and facilitate the media covering the AELW.
The International Press Centre will feature the Reception Area/the Main Hall, including an information/booking desk, a press kiosk and a media pool waiting room. The centre’s International Broadcasting Center will offer host broadcasters/photographers, satellite transmission services, etc.
The centre’s Main Press Briefing Room cum as the Press Common Working Area will be equipped with common work desks, convenient AC outlets audio feeds, computers with network printers; wifi & LAN internet connection with 5 Mbs speed, wide-screen LCD for live feed monitoring, photocopiers, and stand-up positions.
Other facilities will inlcude a medical room, a prayer room exclusively for foreign religious believers to practise their faiths, post and telecommunication service areas, money exchange counters.
In addition, a dining area will provide complimentary food services for accredited media during AELW, whilst media booths will be used as individual working space for media agencies as well as member economies.
Its upgrade is expected to be completed by 30 June 2017.
