The Truong Hai Automobile Joint-Stock Company (Thaco) on 28 January held a ceremony to officially inaugurate its THACO Truck and Bus Centre with a whole new look and scale in Da Nang. In attendance was Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, Mr. Ho Ky Minh.

Covering a site of 2.6 hectares in Hoa Vang District with total investment of VND142 billion, equivalent to US$6.3 million, the THACO Truck and Bus Centre includes 3 specialised showrooms comprising Bus Showroom (600m2), Fuso Showroom (720m2), Foton Showroom (720m2); and the serviced workshop (13,600m2). The Centre will provide maintenance services using advanced technology for 200 buses and trucks each day.
Addressing the ceremony, Thaco Chairman Tran Ba Duong stressed that the centre will serve as an example for its mass development of smart showrooms in 40 provinces and cities nationwide with a toval investment of up to VND6 trillion ($265 million) by 2020. It will be also a big vehicle repair hub for customers on the North-South Route, and a training centre for dealers from the central region of Viet Nam.
“The centre – Thaco’s first of its kind in Viet Nam – aims to offer a comprehensive service for bus and truck models that Thaco has sold to customers in Viet Nam. We also build trust and guarantee top service among our agents and car users in nationwide. We offer services to locally made brands Foton, Fuso and Thaco bus in the central region of Viet Nam,” Mr. Duong said.
Also at the ceremony, THACO handed over VND1 billion to the Da Nang’s Social Welfare Fund, and another VND200 million to the Fund for the Needy of Hoa Vang District.
