They have provided jobs for approximately 40,000 labourers in the city. In addition, the city’s Hi-Tech Park has two FDI projects from Japan, with a total investment capital of 70 million USD.
Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh also asked Hokkaido to support Da Nang building up seafood chains with funding from the Japan International Co-operation Agency (JICA) of Hokkaido’s Kushiro city in the years ahead. He also took this opportunity to ask Hokkaido Prefectural Council to act as a bridge to connect enterprises and investors from Hokkaido prefecture to visit to survey investment and business environment in Da Nang.
Mr. Chiba Hidemori, who is also the Chairman of the Viet Nam-Japan Friendship Association of Hokkaido, said cultural and trade exchanges and investment have been enhanced between the two sides since 2013, and the direct chartered flight resulted from positive cooperation between the two localities.
