On 17 August, a delegation of Da Nang’s authorities led by the city People’s Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho met with representatives from the Future Investment Group in Prague, the Czech Republic, as part of their ongoing working trip to European countries.

Chairman Huynh Duc Tho spoke of his city’s socio-economic development and existing incentive investment attraction policies. The city’s leader also highly praised the Czech Republic government for their active assistance for Viet Nam over the past years.
He hoped that the bilateral cooperative relations with Da Nang would be enhanced in the coming time. Mr. Huynh Duc Tho also took the opportunity to ask relevant agencies to quickly handle relevant procedures, and accelerate the construction of an international paediatrics hospital in Da Nang soon.
In reply, Mr Ing Petr Mach, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Future Investment Group, briefed the Da Nang visitors on his group’s strengths, with a focus on healthcare aspect.
The Group’s leader remarked that his country and Viet Nam shared many similarities in healthcare systems. He also pledged to speed up the transfer of processes and equipment for the building of the hospital in Da Nang, as well as coordinate with relevant local agencies to provide training courses on enhancing the capacity of local doctors and nurses.
During his stay in the Czech Republic, Chairman Huynh Duc Tho also had a working session with Mr Zdeněk Zbytek, President of the Czech Eastern JSC. The two sides discussed cooperative potential between Da Nang and Eastern Czech Republic businesses in the future.
Mr Zdeněk Zbytek noted that a group of businesspeople from the Eastern Czech Republic would visit Da Nang in December to learn about its investment opportunities.
