Over US$46 million for First Ready-Built Facilities for Rent Project at Da Nang Hi-Tech Park

A ready-built facilities for rent project involving a total investment of VND1.05 trillion, equivalent to more than US$46 million, will be developed at the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park.  The announcement was made by the Long Hau Joint Stock Company at a ceremony held in the city on 17 September.

In attendance were Da Nang People’s Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho and Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh, Chairman of the Japanese Business Association in Da Nang Satoru Takizawa as well as leaders of relevant departments and agencies.

The project covers an area of 29.6ha, the first of its kind to be developed in the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park, and is scheduled to begin construction in the fourth quarter of this year.

The project will also build workshops ranging in size from 500 sq.m to 3,300 sq.m.  They all are equipped with synchronous infrastructure and advanced equipment.  In addition to the ready-built facilities, the Company will earmark 20 ha of the project to construct built-to-suit, and multi-storey factories, in order to meet the diversified requirements of tenants.  Long Hau Joint-Stock Company will support new investors with a one-stop shop procedure to ensure minimal set-up time at the Park.

The ceremony also witnessed the signing of a 6,000m2 ready-built factory lease agreement between Long Hau Company and Japan’s Hatsuta Seisakusho Co Ltd.  Following this signing, the Japanese company will operate its first hi-tech fire extinguisher equipment project at the Park with an investment of more than VND 60 billion, equivalent to over US$2.7 million.

Addressing the event, Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh affirmed that hi-tech industry is considered as one of the city’s priority aspects.  Therefore, the focus will be on attracting qualified human resources from both home and abroad into the Hi-tech Park to help spur growth of the city’s science and technology sector.  The cily leader also said that nearly 400 ha of the Hi-tech Park are now available for lease. To date, the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park has attracted 15 projects worth a combined US$400 million.
