In the evening on October 2nd, Mr. Vo Cong Tri - Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Standing Party Committee met and worked with Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith - Prime Minister of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, in the framework of the official visit to Viet Nam of the senior delegation of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic as per an invitation of Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc - Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam between 1st - 3rd October 2019. The meeting also had the participation of Mr. Huynh Duc Tho – Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Chairman of the City People’s Committee, and Mr. Nguyen Nho Trung – Chairman of the City People’s Council.
This was the third visit and the second official one to Viet Nam of Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith since inauguration as the Prime Minister of Laos in 2016. The visit took place with traditional relations, special unity and comprehensive cooperation between Viet Nam and Laos, a relationship which is on good development and promises to obtain new heights.
At the meeting, Deputy Secretary Vo Cong Tri generally introduced about Da Nang City, the socio-economic achievements and the City’s development orientations for the coming years. Mr. Vo Cong Tri emphasized, the friendship between Viet Nam and Laos is a traditional relationship with special unity and comprehensive cooperation from the historic period to present. On the basis of cooperation for development between the two countries, the City of Da Nang actively promoted and offered many effective cooperation programs with Lao partners.
As scheduled, on 3rd October 2019, the senior delegation of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic would visit and work with the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and several establishments growing green vegetables in Hoa Phu Commune, Hoa Vang District.
Previously, on 2nd October in the afternoon, a welcoming ceremony for Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith and his spouse took place at the Da Nang International Airport. The welcoming ceremony included the participation of Mr. Le Trung Chinh – Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee together with the City’s Leaders.
