The Raid Amazones 2019 takes place in Da Nang City from 16th to 19th October, with a triathlon consisting of terrain bike racing (40km), running (10-20km), and kayaking (5-10km). This is a women’s sporting event which was first held in 2001. Through 18 events in places such as California (USA), Malaysia, the Raid Amazones has become a major event around the world.
The Amazon Raid 2019 attracts nearly 300 athletes, mainly French women aged between 30 and 60, who wish for community culture and sports activities, and they are not professional athletes.
The athletes participate in running, archery, canoe racing, and bike racing activities. In addition, there are some support activities, including an archery competition combined with activities of exploring the history, culture, and tourism with environmental and social responsibility in the localities where the sports event takes place.
The Raid Amazones will offer an opportunity for athletes to challenge themselves on unique racetracks, admire many landscapes as well as experience the cultural values of Quang Nam Province and Da Nang City.
