On November 15, at the meeting with Mr. Nurlan Nigmatulin, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Truong Quang Nghia expressed his hope that the visit of the Chairman of the House of Representatives and the delegation in Da Nang will bring many positive results, contributing to strengthening the connection between the city and the localities of Kazakhstan in the fields of investment, trade, tourism, services, seaports.

At the meeting, Mr. Nurlan Nigmatulin, President of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Kazakhstan thanked the solemn welcome of the city government. At the same time, he expressed his desire that the two sides would continue to strengthen many bilateral exchange and investment cooperation activities, in order to establish twinning relationship with Da Nang city.
Mr. Nurlan Nigmatulin was impressed by the development of Vietnam in general and Da Nang in particular in socio-economic development, especially the maintenance of economic growth. Affirming that Vietnam is an important partner of Kazakhstan in Southeast Asia, Mr. Nurlan Nigmatulin said that bilateral trade relations between the two sides still have a lot of potentials, especially in the fields of transport, logistics and tourism. Mr. Nurlan Nigmatulin expressed his desire that businesses of Kazakhstan and Da Nang city can cooperate in developing garment products as well as strengthening the connection of cargo corridor between Danang seaport and seaports of Kazakhstan.
City Party Secretary Truong Quang Nghia thanked the proposals of the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Kazakhstan and expressed his wish that Mr. Nurlan Nigmatulin will support the city to connect with some localities in Kazakhstan that have similarities with Da Nang, to establish cooperative relations between the two countries' localities. Thereby, contributing to promoting the development of trade and investment cooperation in potential areas, promoting people-to-people exchange.
Vietnam and the Republic of Kazakhstan established diplomatic relations on June 29, 1992. In July 2008, the Vietnamese Embassy in Astana officially opened. On March 30, 2015, Kazakhstan opened its Embassy in Vietnam. In the past time, the traditional friendship relations between Vietnam and the Republic of Kazakhstan continued to develop. External political relations between the two countries have been strengthened through high-level visits.
