Ribbon cutting ceremony to open the VIETBUILD Da Nang 2022 International Exhibition

Considered a traditional festival of Vietnamese construction businesses, VIETBUILD Da Nang 2022 International Exhibition this time has attracted the participation of more than 1,000 booths from domestic and foreign companies to introduce and display new and diverse products with advanced technologies from many international brands in the fields of construction - building materials - real estate and interior-exterior decoration, along with many diversified and practical activities and programs to serve construction industry businesses in trade promotion, technology transfer, and construction investment cooperation, contributing to international economic development and integration.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Sinh acknowledged that, facing heavy impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on economic development in general and businesses in particular, the Party, National Assembly, Government, and the Prime Minister have given drastic and timely directions to remove difficulties for production and business and restore the economy. Simultaneously, localities have also actively promoted the formulation and implementation of construction planning and invested in infrastructure construction and housing and urban development projects, including social housing and housing for workers in industrial zones, creating supply for the real estate market and promoting socio-economic development.

“VIETBUILD Da Nang 2022 International Exhibition is a regular and specific activity to support the implementation of State guidelines and policies on construction and real estate, trade promotion, technology transfer, investment cooperation, brand construction and development, and business support to restore and revive production and business activities, especially connecting supply and demand and connecting technology on digital platforms, digital economy, and e-commerce during economic recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic”, said the Deputy Minister of Construction.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman Ngo Thi Kim Yen stated, in order to effectively implement the city's 2022 theme of "The year of safe and flexible adaptation, effective pandemic control, and economic recovery", Da Nang would continue to promote investment attraction, implement solutions for socio-economic recovery and development after the COVID-19 pandemic such as: transforming and promoting the advertisement form of investment attraction from offline to online; promoting investment from traditional and developed markets such as Japan, Korea, Singapore, USA, etc.

At the same time, priority should be given to attracting FDI into industries that are spearheads of the industrial revolution 4.0 such as ICT industry, digital technology, nanotechnology, biotechnology, new materials, high-tech and industrial industries, supporting industry, etc., as well as prioritizing investment promotion in agricultural production towards high efficiency, sustainable technology application and development. Investment in high-quality service industries should be attracted, contributing to accelerating economic restructuring and building Da Nang into an environmental city.

Taking place from May 18 to 22, 2022, most of the products displayed at the exhibition have been thoroughly researched and marketed by businesses. Products of construction materials and interior and exterior decoration have new designs with improved features and quality to meet the increasing demand for housing, construction, and interior and exterior decoration, coupled with sustainable development, environmental protection, and life improvement, showing the traditional, ecological, and modern nature of the whole society.
