Facilitating for businesses from Gunma Prefecture (Japan) invest in Da Nang

On August 5, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang - member of the Party’s Central Committee, Secretary of Da Nang Party’s Committee, met with Mr. Yamamoto Ichita - Governor of Gunma Prefecture (Japan) on the occasion of his working visit in Da Nang.


At the meeting, Secretary Nguyen Van Quang warmly welcomed the first provincial governor of Japan to visit Da Nang after the COVID-19 pandemic. Japan is one of the largest investors in Da Nang.

According to Secretary Nguyen Van Quang, Da Nang is one of the five major cities of Vietnam, with many potentials and advantages for developing high technology, information technology, and high-quality tourism. Therefore, the city is ready to welcome investors from Gunma province to come and learn about Da Nang’s investment environment.

Mr. Nguyen Van Quang hoped that in the near future, Governor Yamamoto Ichita will help to connect Da Nang with Gunma in general, businesses of the two localities in particular, and deepen mutual cooperation in the fields of tourism, investment, trade, etc.

The Secretary of Da Nang’s Party Committee affirmed that the city will always support and create the most favorable conditions to attract more Japanese businesses in general and businesses of Gunma province in particular.

Upon the city leaders’ warm welcome, Governor Yamamoto Ichita said that Gunma province is very interested to learn more about Da Nang, a city with great potentials for development in the future.

The Governor also mentioned that in the coming time, more businesses from Gunma province will visit and invest in Vietnam in the fields of digital transformation, information technology and manufacturing technology.

Mr. Ichita affirmed that he will try his best to promote investment promotion and economic cooperation between Gunma and Da Nang. At the same time, he expressed his wish that in the next visit, the two localities could establish an official cooperation relationship.
