On March 28 in Chiba (Japan), Mr. Nguyen Van Quang - Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of Da Nang Party Committee led the Da Nang Investment Promotion Seminar. Attending the event were representatives from the Embassy of Viet nam in Japan, Mr. Ho Ky Minh - Standing Vice Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee, leaders of Da Nang City departments, and more than 70 Vietnamese and Japanese businesses.
The seminar was co-organized by the Da Nang Investment Promotion Agency and Mikazuki Corporation to introduce the business environment and opportunities for investment and tourism cooperation in Da Nang to Japanese businesses.
Opening the seminar, Secretary Nguyen Van Quang reviewed the highlights of Viet Nam - Japan relations, especially in the context that the two countries are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2023 and the "infinite potential" between the two countries is approaching a period of remarkable development.
With its role as an economic, political, and cultural center, a strategic port city, and playing a key part in the growth of Central Viet Nam, Da Nang has contained COVID-19 and achieved important socioeconomic goals in 2022, with GRDP growth over 14% ranking 3rd in the nation.
Japan is currently the largest investor in Da Nang with more than $1.042 billion in 228 projects. Japanese investment projects focus on manufacturing and processing industries, advanced technology, investment information, real estate, and education, as well as the resort and entertainment project of Mikazuki Group with a total investment of 3,900 billion VND.

(under Metran Co., Ltd.) and Heisei Medical Welfare Group on providing rehabilitation services and care for the elderly and the Memorandum of Understanding between Thanh Dat Group Co., Ltd., Magos Co., Ltd., and Minatomirai Group on providing health and beauty care services in Da Nang.
With strong financial and technological potential, Da Nang focuses on calling for investment capital from Japan in the fields of high-tech industries, information technology, R&D, supporting industries, seaport infrastructure, health care, and education.
Mr. Nakajima Takeo - Chief Representative of Japan Trade Promotion Organization (JETRO) in Hanoi said that currently, Japan ranks 3rd in terms of capital and 2nd in number of registered projects in Viet Nam. The number of Japanese projects decreased after COVID-19, but the registered investment capital increased.
Mr. Takeo added that over the years, many foreign enterprises including Japanese enterprises have invested in Da Nang. This is a city with great potential for attracting investment.
Mr. Odaka Yoshimune - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mikazuki Corporation thanked the city leaders for their trust and support for the Mikazuki Resort & Spa project in Da Nang. Mikazuki commits to continue making efforts to contribute to promoting the city's economy in the coming time.
Mr. Nakagawa Tetsuyuki - General Director of Aeon Mall Viet Nam Group said that since 2018, Aeon Mall and Aeon Group have identified "Viet Nam as a key investment market in Asia".
Up to now, Aeon Mall has developed a network of trade centers throughout Viet Nam and is choosing a suitable location to develop a trade center project in Da Nang. Aeon expects to receive support from city leaders so that Aeon Mall can realize the implementation of the trade center project as soon as possible.
City leaders and representatives of departments talked about issues that businesses and investors are interested in such as procedures and investment incentives for the establishment of an international hospital, investment in information technology and advanced technology, conditions and advantages to locating the enterprise's head office in Da Nang, and evaluating the living environment and investment and business environment in Da Nang along with other localities in Viet Nam.
