On the afternoon of April 14th Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Head of the Delegation of National Assembly Deputies of Da Nang City, received a delegation from Savannakhet Province (Laos) led by Mr. Bounchom Ubonpaseuth, Member of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee, Secretary, and Governor of Savannakhet, during their visit to Da Nang. The meeting was also attended by Ms. Ngo Thi Kim Yen, Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang People's Committee.
On the occasion of Lao New Year (Bunpimay), Secretary Nguyen Van Quang extended his best wishes to the authorities and people of Savannakhet Province for a peaceful new year with many successes.
Basedon the special, friendly relationship between Viet Nam and Laos, the friendship and cooperation between Da Nang and Savannakhet Province have made positive developments. Therefore, Secretary Nguyen Van Quang believed that with the attention and support of the Secretary and Governor of Savannakhet Province Bounchom Ubonpaseut, the contents from the memorandum of cooperation for the period 2023-2027 between the two localities would continue to be effectively implemented, especially in important activities such as cooperation in teaching Vietnamese, and further strengthen cooperation in the fields of commerce and tourism.

Secretary Nguyen Van Quang expressed his expectation that the friendly cooperative relationship between Da Nang and Savannakhet Province would become more substantial and effective, contributing to the economic and social development goals of the two localities.
Secretary and Governor of Savannakhet Province Bounchom Ubonpaseuth expressed thanks for the warm welcome and support of Da Nang City for Savannakhet Province during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr. Ubonpaseuth shared that currently, Savannakhet Province is focusing on developing ecotourism. On this visit, Secretary and Governor Bounchom Ubonpaseuth hopes that investors in Da Nang will be interested in and explore investment opportunities in Savannakhet Province. This will promote economic development between the two localities and enhance the friendly cooperative relationship between Laos and Viet Nam in general and between Savannakhet Province and Da Nang City in particular.
