On the morning of May 7th, the VinFast IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam 2023, the largest combined three-discipline race in Viet Nam, took place in Da Nang with over 3,000 athletes from 62 countries competing. The VinFast IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam was organized by Sunrise Events Vietnam in coordination with the Da Nang Department of Culture and Sports. This is considered one of the most challenging races as athletes must possess the necessary skills for swimming, cycling, and running, as well as prepare equipment before participating. Once started, there is no stopping until the finish line.
In its third return to Da Nang, the race was lively and exciting, bringing many emotions for both competing athletes and participating spectators. Early morning, the athletes were present at Son Thuy Beach (Ngu Hanh Son District) ready for the challenges. Athletes had to complete a 1.9km swim, 90km cycling, and 21.1km run.
Among these, the swimming segment was organized at Son Thuy Beach (Ngu Hanh Son District).The cycling segment followed a route from Son Thuy Beach through the coastline roads and resorts in the city area (2 loops). The final part of the journey was the running route through some important landmarksand ended at Son Thuy Beach.
At the end of the competition, the organizers awarded prizes to professional and amateur athletes who achieved high results. At the same time, 34 slots for the 2023 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship held in Finland were announced.
