30 teams participate in the mini-football tournament for Japanese FDI enterprises in Da Nang

On the morning of May 7th the Labor Union of Da Nang, in coordination with the Japanese Business Association in Da Nang, organized a mini-football tournament for Japanese FDI businesses.

In his opening speech, Chairman of the City's Labor Union Nguyen Duy Minh stated that the football tournament is a playground for teams and fans to exchange experiences, enhance solidarity, and contribute to the sustainable development goals of businesses as well as the establishment of strong labor unions. At the same time, the tournament aims to foster the friendship and love for sports between Vietnamese and Japanese workers and to promote the significance of the Month of Workers linked with the Month of Action for Occupational Safety and Health in the Japanese business community in Da Nang.

The football tournament attracted the participation of coaches and players who are officials, members, and workers, as well as Japanese experts at Japanese FDI enterprises. The athletes were divided into 24 male teams and 6 female teams. The competition included men's and women's mini-football with 5 players on artificial turf, applying the latest 5-a-side football rules of the Vietnam Football Federation. The tournament takes place from May 7 to 27 at the City's Labor Culture House. The organizers will award gold, silver, and bronze medals to the top 3 outstanding teams and a prize for the team with the best style. In addition, there are also awards for the top scorer and the best goalkeeper.
