In order to promote exchanges and enhance cooperation between the city of Da Nang and the special self-governing province of Jeju (South Korea), on the afternoon of August 4th, the People's Committee of Da Nang and the administration of the special self-governing province of Jeju held a working session and signed a memorandum of understanding to establish cooperation between the two sides in the fields of tourism, investment and trade, and agriculture and fisheries.
Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang, Ho Ky Minh, presided over the reception and working session with the delegation from the special self-governing province of Jeju, led by Governor Oh Young Hun.
Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh expressed delight at the visit of the delegation from the special self-governing province of Jeju. He provided an overview of the economic and social situation of the city to Governor Oh Young Hun and introduced the areas in which the city is focusing on development and investment, including tourism, commerce, and high-tech industries.
Mr. Minh expressed the hope that in the future, the two sides will establish close-knit ties and collaborate for development in various sectors, especially in the field of tourism.
"Both Da Nang and Jeju have identified tourism as a spearhead industry. We hope that in the future, the two sides will together create new chapters in the history of tourism between Da Nang and Jeju," emphasized Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh.
Governor Oh Young Hun thanked the city's leadership for the warm welcome and highly appreciated Da Nang's potential and strengths. At the same time, he introduced to the city's leadership some notable areas that Jeju is focusing on for development.
Governor Oh Young Hun expressed the wish that in the future, Jeju and Da Nang will establish a direct flight between the two sides for easy exchanges and enhanced cooperation in various fields, including investment, trade, tourism, and cultural exchanges. Particularly, aiming to build an official friendly cooperative relationship between the two localities.
During the working session, the People's Committee of Da Nang and the administration of the special self-governing province of Jeju signed a memorandum of understanding to establish cooperation between the two sides. This marks a positive beginning for the relationship between Da Nang and Jeju.
