Da Nang Tops World’s Destinations on the Rise for 2015Viet Nam’s Da Nang has been named as the winner of Travelers' Choice Award for Destinations on the Rise for 2015 by TripAdvisor, the world's largest travel site. The top 10 “Destinations on the Rise” in the World also included Sihanoukville (Cambodia), Limassol (Cyprus), Ao Nang (Thailand), Bodrum City (Turkey), Naha (Japan), Hurghada (Egypt), Kazan (Russia), Manaus (Brazil) and Eilat (Israel).

French Navy Ship’s Officers Pay Courtesy Visit to Da Nang People’s CommitteeOn 17th November, the Vice Chairman of Da Nang People’s Committee, Mr. Phung Tan Viet, met with the leading officers of the French navy ship Vendémiaire led by Lieutenant-Colonel Hervé Siret within the framework of the five-day official visit of the ship to the city. In attendance were leading representatives from the Foreign Affairs Department of the Defence Ministry; the High Command of the Viet Nam People’s Navy; the Command of Naval Force Zone No. 3; the Da Nang City Military Headquarters; the Command of the City’s Coast Guard; and the Ambassador of the Republic of France to Viet Nam.

Over 9.6 billion VND for Children with Disabilities in Da NangA signing ceremony took place recently in the city to initiate Phase 2 of the Project on Strengthening Capacity and Sustainability on Early Childhood Disabilities Detection and Intervention in Da Nang. The 366,000 Euro Phase 2, funded by Irish Aid, will be implemented by the Sustainable Health Development Centre (VietHealth) from now until November 2016.

Indian Coast Guard Ship’s Officers Pay Courtesy Visit to City’s LeadersThe Indian Coast Guard ship, Samudra Paheredar, arrived at Tien Sa Port on 14 October at the start of their two-day official visit to the city. Director of the Da Nang Foreign Affairs, Mr Luong Minh Sam, met with the ships’ officers and crew members led by their captain, Colonel Sanatan Jena, on the same day.

Centre for Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy Opens in Da NangOn 10 September, the Da Nang Hospital held a ceremony to inaugurate its Centre for Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy. The centre’s technical systems cost 12 million USD in total. Of this, 10 million USD came from ODA capital of the Republic of South Korea, and the remainder was from the State budget. In addition, the East Meets West Foundation donated 4 million USD to build the centre’s infrastructure.

Indian Coast Guard Ship Visits Da NangThe Indian Coast Guard ship, Samudra Paheredar, arrived at Tien Sa Port on 14 October at the start of their two-day official visit to the city. The ship, commanded by Colonel Sanatan Jena, carried 122 officers and crew members.
