Industry–Trade Fair 2014 opens in Da NangApproximately 350 stands from nearly 200 enterprises of Da Nang and 15 provinces and cities across the country displayed their products at the Industry–Trade Fair 2014, which began on 19 September. The event took place at the Da Nang Fair and Exhibition Centre and will run until 24 September.

Japanese Film Festival 2014 to Open in Da Nang on 14th NovemberThe Japan Foundation Centre for Cultural Exchange in Viet Nam will bring the Japanese Film Festival 2014, entitled 'Passion', to audiences in Ha Noi, Da Nang and Vung Tau from 10th October to 16th November. The Da Nang event will take place from 14th to 16th November at Le Do Cinema.

The U.S.A., Australia, South Africa and Poland to participate in Da Nang International Fireworks Competition 2015Da Nang People’s Committee recently announced the plan for the Da Nang International Fireworks Competition 2015 (DIFC 2015). The competition will be held along the banks of the Han River on the evenings of 28th and 29th April and entitled “Da Nang – Symphony of Colours”.

Non Nuoc Stone Sculpture Village recognised as National HeritageDa Nang’s Non Nuoc Stone Sculpture Village, which is located at the foot of the Marble Mountains in Hoa Hai Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, has been recently recognised as a national intangible cultural heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

ASEAN Maritime Forums Opens in Da NangThe 5th ASEAN Maritime Forum (AMF-5) and the 3rd Expanded ASEAN Maritime Forum (EAMF-3) took place in Da Nang from 27 to 28 August. Da Nang Has Great Potential for Developing Logistics ServicesOn 11 August, Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, Mr Van Huu Chien met with the Chairman of the Kerry Logistics Corporation and former Singaporean Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr George Yeo. The visit was made within the framework of the business trip of the former Minister of Singapore to Viet Nam to attend the conference on multilateral foreign affairs in the 21st century in Ha Noi on 12 August at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh.

Da Nang hosts conference on police’s role in anti-corruptionThe role of police in the anti-corruption efforts of the Vietnamese government and measures to make police officers accountable, efficient, and professional were discussed at a dialogue on police integrity held on 26 August in Da Nang. The event was jointly organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security (MPS).
