Da Nang and Chile Discuss New Cooperation Potential
At a reception for the Chilean Ambassador to Vietnam, Nasly Isabel Bernal Prado, on the morning of July 13, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Manh Hung requested that the Chilean Embassy support promotional efforts and help Chilean businesses explore investment opportunities in Da Nang. He highlighted key areas of interest, including high technology, processing industries, logistics, renewable energy, and high-quality services. The city also aims to step up support for Da Nang enterprises to access the Chilean market, expand further into Latin America, and effectively leverage the free trade agreements signed between the two countries.
In response, Ambassador Nasly Isabel Bernal Prado expressed her desire to foster cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, culture, education, and people-to-people exchanges. She affirmed her commitment to acting as a bridge to strengthen practical and effective collaboration between Chilean partners and Da Nang.

Da Nang Discusses Cooperation with Swiss Partners Across Key Sectors
On the afternoon of July 14, Standing Vice Chairman of the Municipal People's Committee Ho Ky Minh chaired a working session with a delegation from the Swiss-Asian Chamber of Commerce (SwissCham Asia) and the Singularity Academy (Singularity AG).
At the meeting, Dr. Urs Hans Lustenberger, President of SwissCham Asia, proposed several areas of cooperation aligned with the city's development orientation.
These proposals focus on key sectors, including: Developing high-tech healthcare; Establishing a mental health clinic in Da Nang to serve local residents, the expatriate community, and international tourists; Developing products derived from Ngoc Linh ginseng; Establishing an international arbitration center at the Vietnam International Financial Center in Da Nang; Applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) to management and operations.
Standing Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh stated that in the coming time, the city will continue to organize specialized working sessions on science, technology, and finance to concretize these cooperative efforts. This will create favorable conditions for partners to explore investment and business opportunities and implement projects in Da Nang.

Promoting Friendly Relations and Cooperation Between Da Nang and Chilean Partners
On the afternoon of July 14, the Da Nang Union of Friendship Organizations, in coordination with the Embassy of the Republic of Chile in Vietnam, held a celebration and reception to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Chile diplomatic relations (1971–2026).
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi stated that Da Nang hopes the Chilean Embassy, trade promotion agencies, and the business community will continue to act as bridges to promote friendly relations and cooperation between Da Nang and Chilean localities and partners, matching the potential and strengths of both sides.

The Department of Construction cooperates with Pacific Construction Group
The Department of Construction signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation with Pacific Construction Group (China).
The content of the Memorandum of Understanding focuses on the planning and development of urban railway networks, expressways; airport projects, smart parking lots, and technical infrastructure works. It supports research on mechanisms and policies for mobilizing investment capital for transportation infrastructure construction.
Both parties will strengthen cooperation and share information in researching investment cooperation opportunities for developing infrastructure, especially key projects, based on compliance with current Vietnamese laws and leveraging the experiences of Pacific Construction Group.

Many prominent activities at the 2026 Ngọc Linh Ginseng and International Medicinal Herbs Festival
The Organizing Committee of the Danang 2026 Ngọc Linh Ginseng and International Medicinal Herbs Festival held a press conference to provide information about the festival with the theme "Ngọc Linh Ginseng - The Quintessence of World Medicinal Herbs."
The festival will take place from August 1 to 3 at APEC Park along with ginseng and medicinal herb cultivation areas in the city, featuring a series of 10 prominent activities.
The event series is expected to host around 60 booths from localities, businesses, and organizations both domestically and internationally, introducing Ngọc Linh Ginseng, other various types of ginseng, and notable medicinal herbs, along with many products applied in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, food, cosmetics, and medicinal herb processing technology.
The opening ceremony will be held on the evening of August 1 in the center of Danang city.

Attendees include officials from five South-Central Laotian provinces: Sekong, Salavan, Attapeu, Savannakhet, and Champasak. <p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">At the seminar titled "VIFC-DN: Building Institutions - Shaping Next-Generation Capital Flows" on the morning of June 30, Le Minh Nghia, Chairman of the Vietnam Financial Consultants Association (VFCA), emphasized that VIFC-DN is not only a key strategic project for Da Nang but also a crucial link in the nation’s overall development goals. An International Financial Center (IFC) and a free trade zone are vital tools for Da Nang to accelerate the attraction of indirect investment, international investment funds, carbon credit markets, and modern financial products. For Da Nang, the Government has set a target for the city to strive for a GRDP growth rate of 11% or higher in 2026.</p>

The first session featured three in-depth presentations on the development direction of core products at VIFC-DN, superior institutional designs, and the role of regulatory sandboxes in fintech development.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:11px;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">On the morning of July 25th, Sun Group held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Sun Galaxy Complex project – the first international-scale festival, event, cultural, and entertainment complex in Danang, with a total investment of nearly VND 10,750 billion. </span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:11px;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng emphasized that the investment in Sun Galaxy Complex holds special significance, not only serving the Danang International Fireworks Festival but also creating a modern cultural and entertainment space; supplementing new tourism products, promoting the night-time economy, extending tourists' length of stay, and increasing their spending. In the longer term, the project will contribute to forming a new development hub along the Hàn River, connecting cultural, commercial, service, and tourism spaces, positioning Danang as a destination for international-level events and festivals.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:11px;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">The Sun Galaxy Complex project – an international-scale festival, event, cultural, and entertainment complex – is being developed on an area of more than 210,000 m², located in the central area of the Danang Downtown mega urban area. The core of the project is an outdoor stage and grandstand with nearly 20,000 seats, directly facing the Hàn River and the fireworks display area.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:11px;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">Within the overall project, a 47-story commercial and service building (approximately 183m) will integrate a hotel system, serviced apartments, a shopping center, restaurants, a ballroom, and high-end amenities. Among these, the accommodation ecosystem is expected to be managed by Accor, offering the experience of enjoying fireworks directly from the place of stay.</span></p>
