During the meeting, Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An, reported that, as of August 15, 2024, according to updates from the Asian Tour, 131 out of 144 international golfers have registered for the BRG Open Golf Championship Da Nang 2024.

Athletes from 24 countries and territories will participate, including Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, China, England, India, Pakistan, the USA, New Zealand, Singapore, Myanmar, Taiwan (China), Morocco, Australia, Scotland, Germany, France, Sweden, Canada, Spain, and others.

As the host, Vietnam has a total of 20 slots to participate in the BRG Open Golf Championship Da Nang 2024. The current list has been updated on the official website of the Asian Tour.

As part of the tournament, there will be a professional-amateur golf exchange event (Pro-Ams), featuring 33 professional golfers seeded in the tournament and 99 amateur golfers, divided into 33 teams.

Additionally, the organizing committee will host an international golf famtrip from August 27-30, 2024, including representatives from travel agencies in Japan, Taiwan (China), and Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore). The delegation will survey Da Nang 's tourism products and golf services and connect with golf courses and travel companies in Da Nang to promote and attract golf tourists to the city.

Currently, units are reviewing the plan to ensure security, fire safety inside and outside the event area, and smooth traffic regulation for the transportation activities within the event's framework.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Tran Chi Cuong emphasized the importance of ensuring the tournament’s success in terms of organization, security, safety, and achieving positive outcomes. He urged the Department of Culture and Sports and the Department of Tourism to coordinate with the city police, the Department of Health, and related units to support and ensure security, safety, health, and the environment during the BRG Open Golf Championship Da Nang 2024.

Simultaneously, it is essential to enhance promotional communication about the festival to golf partners and tourists, both domestically and internationally. Notably, there should be increased coverage on specialized sports channels in both domestic and international media, reaching audiences in the Asia-Pacific region and other parts of the world. Additionally, the event will be integrated with Da Nang 's tourism promotion and the city's investment and tourism promotion programs.
