Strengthen cooperation with localities and partners in the Russian Federation  

On the afternoon of October 16, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Head of the National Assembly delegation of Danang city Lê Ngọc Quang received Mr. Igor Baiazov, the newly appointed Consul General of the Russian Federation in Danang. 
Secretary Lê Ngọc Quang affirmed that Danang wishes to continue expanding cooperation with Russian localities and partners in potential fields such as trade, investment, tourism, services, education and training, healthcare, high-tech industries, and artificial intelligence (AI); at the same time, enhancing cultural exchanges and people-to-people diplomacy. The city hopes that the Consul General will continue to play the role of a bridge, promoting practical cooperative activities.
Consul General Igor Baiazov affirmed that he will actively connect and encourage Russian businesses to invest in Danang, while also encouraging city and Central region enterprises to seek cooperation opportunities in Russia. He expressed confidence that harnessing cooperation potential will contribute to strengthening Vietnam – Russian Federation friendship and promoting increasingly effective collaboration between the two sides.

Promote investment attraction in the battery manufacturing sector and automotive supporting industries  

On the afternoon of October 14, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Head of the National Assembly delegation of Danang city Lê Ngọc Quang presided over a meeting with the leadership of Rept Battero Company (China) and Tân Thành Đô Group to explore the investment environment in the high-tech sector, battery production, and automotive supporting industries.

Secretary of the City Party Committee Lê Ngọc Quang highly appreciated the research orientation for building a battery manufacturing plant to serve the automotive industry by Rept Battero Company and also welcomed the groundbreaking plan for the car assembly project of Tân Thành Đô Group with a projected maximum capacity of 150,000 vehicles per year.

The City Party Secretary suggested that Rept Battero Company study, survey, and select Danang for investment in an automobile battery and energy equipment manufacturing plant; in particular, considering a location in the Danang Hi-Tech Park. This area has well-invested infrastructure, convenient transportation connections, proximity to Liên Chiểu Port, and incentives from mechanisms and preferential policies for high-tech investors.

For the automobile manufacturing and assembly project with a projected maximum capacity of 150,000 vehicles per year, primarily aimed at serving exports, the Secretary of the City Party Committee assessed that the project is significant for industrial development. The requirements for technology, quality, and the localization rate for exported products will create opportunities to promote supporting industries and enhance domestic production capacity.

* Subsequently, on the afternoon of October 15, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People’s Committee Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng welcomed Mr. Trần Ngọc Dân, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tân Thành Đô Group Joint Stock Company, and Mr. Hu Xiaodong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Rept Battero Company (China), to learn about the investment environment in Danang.

At the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the city’s industrial development orientation, focusing on high technology, battery production, and the automotive supporting industry. The enterprises expressed their desire to explore opportunities for cooperation and investment and requested the city’s support in the process of survey and implementation of related procedures.

Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng welcomed businesses interested in exploring investment opportunities and affirmed that Danang is actively promoting investment in the industrial and high-tech sectors. Danang is committed to accompanying and facilitating businesses in researching and implementing projects, contributing to the promotion of local economic development.

Diversify products, extend stay duration, and increase spending of tourists visiting Danang  

At the dialogue conference between city leaders and tourism businesses in 2026 on the afternoon of October 14, enterprises proposed that Danang needs to create more uniquely attractive products, connect tourism services in a coordinated manner, and improve the visitor experience. Music programs that attract young people, shopping malls, and discounted brand shopping models (outlets) will be important supplementary products, contributing to diversifying the visitor experience.

Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng emphasized that, with the goal of achieving double-digit growth in 2026 and the following years, Danang identifies tourism as a key economic sector. In addition, the city will focus on resolving issues, ensuring compliance with the law, not legitimizing violations, and not creating new disputes in efforts to support businesses and handle pending projects.

Also at the Conference, MBLand Danang Joint Stock Company presented its desire to participate in research and bidding for high-quality tourism products and services at Mỹ Khê Beach, contributing to the development of the city's night-time economy.

According to the proposal, the enterprise plans to invest in a night economy, resort, cultural, and culinary complex named MBLand Mỹ Khê Paradise at 268 Võ Nguyên Giáp Street, Ngũ Hành Sơn Ward. The land has an area of 11,465 m², located on a dual frontage, facing Mỹ Khê Beach and the An Thượng tourist street. The complex has an estimated total investment of VND 5,000 billion, with main components including a night economy area of approximately 8,000 m², a 10-story hotel-office block, and an internal road connecting Trần Bạch Đằng Street with Võ Nguyên Giáp Street, providing a pathway from An Thượng street to Mỹ Khê Beach.  

Additionally, the enterprise also plans to develop the Đồng Nà – Bến Trễ Urban Area in Hội An Tây Ward into a high-end resort named MBLand Retreat after completing the relevant procedures. The total estimated investment for this project is VND 5,500 billion.

Exchange and cooperate with Israeli enterprises in the agricultural sector  

At the meeting with Mr. Ran Dagan - Chairman of Dagan Group (Israel) on the afternoon of October 12, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Trần Nam Hưng expressed the hope that Dagan would support pilot projects in high-tech agriculture suitable to local realities, aiming to improve efficiency, technological capacity, and sustainability. Danang is ready to create favorable conditions for the group to explore investment and cooperation opportunities.

Chairman of Dagan Group (Israel) Ran Dagan introduced the potential in high-tech agriculture, automation, and aquaculture. He expressed the possibility of technology transfer, developing sustainable production models, green transformation, promoting vocational training cooperation, supplying equipment, and connecting technology partners with the city.

From October 16 to 18, in the area opposite the Sơn Trà night market (An Hải Ward), the Program to Introduce and Promote Ngọc Linh Ginseng and medicinal herbs of Danang city will take place in October 2026 with the theme "The Journey of the National Treasure Ngọc Linh Ginseng - Connecting the Danang Ngọc Linh Ginseng Experience Space and Medicinal Herbs."

The program gathers approximately 50 booths, including activities such as displaying, introducing, and promoting Ngoc Linh Ginseng, medicinal herbs, and products processed from medicinal herbs; business networking, product introduction, consultation, and support for enterprises to expand their consumption markets.

More than VND 3,354 billion invested in construction and business infrastructure at position No. 6 of Danang Free Trade Zone

The Chairman of the City People's Committee approved the investment policy and simultaneously approved FTZ KITA TRUNGNAM Co., Ltd. as the investor to implement the project on Construction and Business of Infrastructure in the functional area at location No. 6 of the Danang Free Trade Zone.

The project covers an area of approximately 154 hectares, with a total investment of over VND 3,354 billion. The objective of the project is to invest in the construction and business of infrastructure; lease land with technical infrastructure in place; and invest in the construction and leasing of commercial and service facilities within the Danang Free Trade Zone.
