Promote substantive cooperation with localities and partners in the Russian Federation
On the afternoon of October 6, during the meeting with the newly appointed Consul General of the Russian Federation in Danang Igor Samvelovich Bayazov, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyễn Đức Dũng affirmed that Danang always values, preserves, and promotes the traditional friendly relations with the Russian Federation; at the same time, he hopes that the Consul General will continue to serve as a bridge, contributing to strengthening relations and expanding cooperation between Danang and Russian localities, organizations, and businesses.
On the afternoon of October 8, meeting with the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Danang Igor Samvelovich Bayazov, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng affirmed that Danang is ready to facilitate the Consulate General in effectively implementing foreign affairs activities, contributing to strengthening cooperative relations between the two sides.

Danang promotes its film potential at the 2026 Busan International Film Festival
Within the framework of the 31st Busan International Film Festival, from October 9 to 13, 2026, the City People's Committee, in coordination with the Vietnam Cinema Development Promotion Association, organized a promotional booth to introduce the Danang Asia Film Festival at the Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM).
The Danang promotional space at ACFM showcases images and videos of natural landscapes, scenic spots, and locations with potential filming sites, along with publications introducing local specialty products.
Through this, Danang presents itself as a dynamic city with rich creative potential, offering diverse landscapes ranging from beaches, mountains, and rivers to modern urban areas, as well as distinctive cultural and heritage spaces, meeting the varied needs of film production activities.

The 5th Danang Asia Film Festival in 2027 is expected to be held from June 24 to July 3, 2027
According to the plan of the City People's Committee, the 5th Danang Asia Film Festival in 2027 (DANAFF V) with the slogan "DANAFF - A Bridge from Asia to the World" is expected to be held from June 24 to July 3, 2027.
The official event duration is expected to be 7 days, from June 27 to July 3, 2027; some extended activities will be organized over approximately 10 days, from June 24 to July 3, 2027.
The main events include the opening ceremony, closing ceremony, and awards presentation at the Ariyana International Convention Center, broadcast live on Vietnam Television (VTV), and simultaneously on Danang newspapers, radio, local television stations, and digital platforms.
The film screening program for competition features two categories: the "Asian Film Competition Awards" and the "Vietnamese Film Competition Awards."
Non-competitive film screening programs include "Vietnam Cinema Today," introducing Vietnamese films produced from May 1, 2026, to April 15, 2027, that have been licensed for distribution and selected by the Organizing Committee; the Vietnam Film Selection Program; Panorama of Asian Cinema; introduction of films from APEC cinema industries; a thematic film screening program about Danang selected by the locality (if any); and screenings of some films from partners and internationally renowned guests in the film industry.
Professional activities, training, and promotion include the seminar "Images of Women in Vietnamese Films," the seminar "Developing the Film Industry - International Experiences and Lessons for Vietnam," the APEC Film Forum, APEC Cinema Spotlight, master classes with international film experts, the DANAFF Talents program, the "Nurturing Talent" workshop for young people with potential and a passion for acting, and the Project Incubator (Film Project Market).
The film festival also organizes an industry connection program (DANAFF Industry Days), DANAFF’s Cinephiles program aimed at building a film-loving community in Danang, and awards the Film Achievement Award to up to three outstanding filmmakers from around the world or Asia.
Side activities include: incense offerings by artists participating in the film festival; DANAFF booths; outdoor film screenings and audience interactions; press meetings with filmmakers and Vietnamese and international film stars; and the Cinema Talk program for exchanges between domestic and international filmmakers. 2,709 billion VND invested in the construction and business of infrastructure for WHA Danang Industrial Park
The City People's Committee approves the investment policy and simultaneously approves the investor for the project of construction and infrastructure business of WHA Danang Industrial Park with a scale of 400 hectares, total investment of VND 2,709 billion (approximately USD 105 million).
The investor implementing the project is WHA Industrial Development International (SG) Pte. Ltd. The project has a scale of 400 hectares, located in Thăng Bình Commune and Đồng Dương Commune.
The proposed schedule of the project timeline is as follows: the investment preparation phase will last from the second quarter of 2026 to the fourth quarter of 2027; the land clearance and handover work is expected from the fourth quarter of 2026 to the first quarter of 2031. The project will be carried out in 2 phases, including phase 1 with a scale of 200 hectares, from the fourth quarter of 2027 to the fourth quarter of 2030; phase 2 with a scale of 200 hectares, from the first quarter of 2031 to the first quarter of 2034.

Exchange of cooperation opportunities to send labor to work in the State of Thuringia (Federal Republic of Germany)
On the afternoon of October 8, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs Nguyễn Quí Quý chaired a working session with the delegation from the state of Thuringia (Federal Republic of Germany) regarding workforce needs, recruitment connections, German language training, and cooperation directions for sending Danang workers to work in this locality.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the possibility of coordinating German language training, connecting vocational education and language training institutions, enhancing the capacity of teaching staff, and ensuring a workforce that meets the requirements of the German labor market. The cooperation content also aimed to identify language requirements and training programs suitable for each occupational group.
Both sides intend to prioritize industries in Thuringia with high labor demand that match Danang’s training and labor supply capabilities, including nursing, elderly care, and several other professions.

<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:11px;line-height:30px">The booths are arranged in areas including: displaying Ngọc Linh Ginseng and products processed from Ngọc Linh Ginseng; displaying medicinal herbs and products processed from medicinal herbs; demonstrations and experiences with Ngọc Linh Ginseng and medicinal herbs.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:11px;line-height:30px">The highlight of the program is the experiential space linking products with local culture and community activities. During the event, visitors can enjoy gong dances and Xoang circle dances of the mountainous ethnic communities, thereby recreating the distinctive cultural space of the Ngọc Linh Ginseng cultivation area.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:11px;line-height:30px">In addition, street music will be featured throughout the program with the participation of young music groups and independent artists, creating a lively atmosphere and increasing interaction with locals and tourists. Traditional folk games will also be organized, contributing to a space for exchange, experience, and the promotion of traditional cultural values.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:11px;line-height:30px">Not only serving as a product promotion activity, the program aims to establish a connection between Ngọc Linh Ginseng, medicinal herbs, and culture and tourism, thereby enhancing the value and brand recognition of Ngọc Linh Ginseng and herbal products of Danang city.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:11px;line-height:30px">According to the plan, the program simultaneously creates opportunities for businesses and cooperatives to connect with distributors and partners both domestically and internationally, expand their consumer markets, and promote exports. Participating units have the chance to access information about the market, quality standards, and legal regulations; enhance production and business capabilities; and accelerate the application of digital technology in trade promotion. </p>

<p style="text-align:justify;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">The Tam Thăng Industrial Park Expansion Phase 2 project was approved for investment policy in June 2025, covering an area of approximately 110.7 hectares. It is a component within the industrial subdivision development space of Tam Thăng Industrial Park, belonging to the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, according to the plan approved by the Prime Minister and oriented according to the General Plan of Danang City.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">The ASEAN Education Organization (P2A), in collaboration with Duy Tân University, organized the award ceremony for the ASEAN AI Hackathon 2026 (AAIH 2026). </span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">Held from August 19 to 21 under the theme "AI for a Resilient ASEAN: Innovation, Sustainability, and Humanity," the final round brought together 16 teams from universities in 7 Southeast Asian countries. Vietnam had 2 participating teams, Duy Tân University and Đồng Nai University of Technology. </span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">The First Prize was awarded to the CIT-U Shane-nanigans team (Philippines); two Second Prizes were given to UI-WICARA ASEAN (Indonesia) and UM-Gunners (Malaysia). The project covers an area of approximately 0.7 hectares, consisting of a 12-story apartment building with one basement floor, about 326 units, with an estimated total investment of over 489 billion VND; apartments have an area of approximately 45-70m². </span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">The project is planned in an integrated manner with a kindergarten, playground, green spaces, sports area, supermarket, and community activity room, and is expected to be completed and handed over in the second quarter of 2028.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">On the afternoon of October 2, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the People's Committee of Quảng Phú Ward, announced the southern tourism tour "Touching Nature" to concretize the orientation of expanding Danang's tourism space, helping businesses and the local community to benefit together. </span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">Currently, more than six travel agencies have developed nearly 25 tour programs with a variety of themes such as "Journey to Touch the Pristine Nature of Southern Danang," "Quảng Land Legends - Peaceful Nature"... helping to strengthen the connection between the central city area and the south. </span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">The infrastructure and connectivity here are very convenient, with six hotels (3–5 stars) and many community lodging facilities. Famous destinations such as Phú Ninh Lake, Lộc Yên Ancient Village, Mường Village, Tak Po, and the Ngọc Linh ginseng area are all easily accessible via National Route 1A, Danang – Quảng Ngãi Expressway, Danang – Chu Lai Coastal Road, and National Route 40B.</span></p>
