Da Nang enhances cooperation with Odisha State, India
On June 2nd, Da Nang City People's Committee Chairman Le Trung Chinh had a meeting with Mr. Hari Babu Kambhampati - Governor of Odisha State, India, who visited Da Nang while accompanying the relics of Lord Buddha Shakyamuni from Vietnam back to India. Also present was Mr. Sandeep Arya - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Vietnam.
During the reception, Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh thanked the Indian Government, the Indian Cultural Center, and the Indian Embassy for supporting Da Nang in organizing the event to enshrine the relics of Lord Buddha Shakyamuni, during the procession of the relics from India, on the occasion of the United Nations Vesak Day 2025. The event attracted a large number of local people, monks, nuns, Buddhists, and tourists to pay homage.
Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh expressed his wish that Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati would introduce and connect Indian investors and businesses to continue investing in Da Nang in the fields of information technology, healthcare, education, tourism, etc. The city is committed to creating a favorable, effective, and safe investment environment for Indian businesses when they invest in Da Nang.
Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati highly appreciated Da Nang's development and expressed confidence that the city would soon achieve its goals in logistics, tourism, and high-tech development.
