Promote people-to-people exchanges between Da Nang and the United States

At the reception of Mr. Frank Joyce – Head of the National Council on the Elderly in the afternoon of April 23, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Le Van Trung expressed his desire to strengthen people-to-people exchanges and attract strategic investment in key fields such as high technology, clean energy, health and climate change response. Nearing the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the United States, the city plans to organize a series of friendly exchange activities to strengthen bilateral relations.

Mr. Frank Joyce highly appreciated the welcome and desire to promote people-to-people cooperation between the two countries, especially with Da Nang, for a sustainable and prosperous future.

Opening of the 2025 Marine Tourism Season: A series of attractive activities awaits people and tourists

The program "Opening of the Beach Tourism Season 2025" with the theme "Blue wave dance" takes place from April 26 to May 2 at Son Tra peninsula and Da Nang beaches, including 18 attractive activities such as kite shows, sea swimming, sea sports performances, food festivals, beach yoga, basket boat rowing, SUP, etc... Notably, the program also has activities to raise community awareness about protecting the forest and marine environment. The opening ceremony will take place at 6:30 a.m. on April 29 at the Bien Dong Park.

On the occasion of the holiday of 30/4 – 1/5 this year, Da Nang has organized a series of exciting and attractive cultural and entertainment events to serve people and visitors, including the program "Blue Wave Dance" to open the 2025 beach tourism season (26/4–2/5) with 18 activities in Son Tra peninsula and beaches such as:  international marine rescue competitions, sea swimming, sea sports, art kite performances, sailing, yoga, cuisine, with promotional activities to protect the marine and forest environment.

In addition, the city has organized a series of special programs on both banks of the Han River: Fire-breathing Dragon Bridge, street music, Tuong down the street, street dance, Bach Dang pedestrian street... The program "Enjoy Da Nang 2025 – Multi-experience" continues to stimulate tourism demand with a series of attractive incentives and discounts.

Opening of Da Nang Reading Culture Festival 2025

On the afternoon of April 22, Da Nang City People's Committee opened the Reading Culture Festival 2025 with the theme "Reading Culture - Connecting the Community", encouraging the reading movement and honoring the value of reading culture in the community.

The festival is not only an opportunity to connect authors, publishers, and readers but also to spread the spirit of learning and creativity. With 50 years of development, Da Nang has identified culture – especially reading culture – as a core factor to improving the quality of life.
