Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyễn Đình Vĩnh received the Consul General of Japan and the Acting Consul General of South Korea

At noon on February 11, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyễn Đình Vĩnh received the Consul General of Japan and the Acting Consul General of South Korea in Danang, who came to visit and extend Lunar New Year greetings to the city leaders on the occasion of the 2026 Bính Ngọ Spring Festival.

Sending wishes for a prosperous and healthy New Year, Japanese Consul General Mori Takero expressed his delight at the increasingly developing cooperative relationship and hoped that the city would focus on promoting Japanese language education in schools, contributing to enhanced cultural exchange and human resource cooperation.

In addition, Acting Consul General of South Korea Oh Jungtaek highly appreciated Vietnam's stable political environment and expressed a desire to share experiences in economic development, promote investment, industrial development, and research cooperation, contributing to the city's development in the upcoming period.

Consuls General of China and the Russian Federation visited and extended New Year greetings to the city 

At noon on February 11, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyễn Đình Vĩnh received Chinese Consul General Dong Bich Du and Russian Consul General Maria Mizonova who visited and extended Lunar New Year greetings to the city leaders on the occasion of the Year of the Bính Ngọ 2026.

The Consuls General of China and Russia conveyed their New Year wishes to the leaders and people of Vietnam; they highly appreciated the results of cooperation with Danang in recent times. Chinese Consul General Dong Bich Du expressed the desire to promote business participation in infrastructure projects, free trade zones, and international financial centers. On the part of Russia, Consul General Maria Mizonova affirmed the commitment to continue serving as a bridge to enhance cooperation, especially in the field of education.

Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyễn Đình Vĩnh expressed gratitude for the attention and affirmed that Danang consistently implements its foreign policy; the city will continue to review and specify agreements with Chinese localities and expand cooperation in economics, environment, and tourism; at the same time, it will promote cooperation with the Russian Federation in manufacturing, research, culture, and tourism. The new Consul General of Laos in Danang extended New Year greetings to the city leadership 

On the morning of February 12, Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyễn Đức Dũng received Ms. Vonekham Cheuangmanivong, the newly appointed Consul General of Laos in Danang, on the occasion of her taking office and paying a courtesy visit to wish the city leadership a New Year greeting.

The Chairman of the City People's Council congratulated her on being entrusted with this new responsibility; affirmed that Danang always values and fosters the traditional friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos; and expressed confidence that she will continue to be a bridge to promote increasingly substantive and effective cooperation between Lao localities and Da Nang.

On the morning of February 12, for the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Bính Ngọ 2026, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, Hồ Kỳ Minh, visited and extended New Year greetings to the consular offices in Danang.

At the Consulate General of South Korea, the Vice Chairman informed about the city's socio-economic development results, acknowledged the positive contributions of Korean businesses, and affirmed that Danang will continue to improve the investment environment and facilitate the expansion of business operations. Acting Consul General Oh Jungtaek expressed hopes that Korean tourism and investment in Danang would continue to grow.

At the Consulate General of China, the Vice Chairman highly appreciated the bilateral cooperation and expressed expectations for a strong recovery in tourism and the expansion of student and expert exchanges. Consul General Dong Bich Du expressed a desire to strengthen exchange activities and deepen the cooperative relationship between the two sides.

Promoting cooperation in training and healthcare with Keimyung University (South Korea)

On the afternoon of February 9, Deputy Chairman of the City People's Committee Trần Anh Tuấn chaired a working session with a delegation from Keimyung University (South Korea), led by Vice President Kim Seon-Jung, on the occasion of the delegation's visit and working trip to Danang city.

The Deputy Chairman of the City People's Committee provided an overview of the socio-economic development situation, affirming that South Korea is a top important partner of Danang. The city hopes to further promote cooperation in training, human resource development, enhance the exchange of lecturers and students, and implement joint training and postgraduate programs in key sectors such as healthcare, health sciences, and technology. Additionally, the city aims to encourage joint research, technology transfer, and connections with local medical and pharmaceutical training institutions.

Ms. Kim Seon Jung highly appreciated the dynamic development of Danang and affirmed that Keimyung University wishes to expand cooperation, contributing to strengthening the bilateral relationship in a more substantive and effective manner.

On this occasion, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee presented the Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the City People's Committee to Keimyung University, in recognition of its positive contributions to the socio-economic development of Danang in 2024.

The new Consul General of the Laos PDR in Danang paid a courtesy visit and extended New Year greetings to the Danang Border Guard Command

On the morning of February 10, Colonel Trần Tiến Hiền, Commander of the City Border Guard Command, paid a courtesy visit to the Consul General of Laos in Danang, Vonekham Cheuangmanivong, on the occasion of her assuming a new position and to extend Lunar New Year 2026 (Year of the Bính Ngọ) greetings to the officers and soldiers of the unit.

The Consul General conveyed her best wishes for the New Year and expressed her delight at the increasingly developing special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, as well as between Danang and various localities in Laos.
