<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">On the afternoon of January 19, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, Hồ Kỳ Minh, presided over a meeting with Rear Admiral Takahashi Toru, Deputy Commander of the Japan Coast Guard, along with his delegation during their visit to Đà Nẵng.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">The Vice Chairman affirmed that the visit holds significant importance in strengthening the friendship and mutual trust between the two sides, in line with the framework of the Vietnam–Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. He also emphasized that the city is ready to facilitate and promote cooperation between the Vietnam Coast Guard and the Japan Coast Guard.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">Rear Admiral Takahashi Toru expressed his appreciation for the cooperative relationship between the two countries and expressed the desire to continue enhancing coordination in ensuring maritime security, safety, and search and rescue at sea.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">Currently, the city maintains cooperation with six localities in Japan; Japan leads in investment capital with over 1.28 billion USD across 280 projects and is a key tourism market.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">On January 19, Vice Chairman of the Đà Nẵng City People's Committee, Hồ Quang Bửu, held a working session with Swiss organizations and partners to promote</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">cooperation in the fields of finance and banking, innovation, high-tech healthcare, and human resource training, in line with the orientation of establishing the Vietnam International Financial Center in Đà Nẵng.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">In the field of high-tech healthcare, partners from the Swiss Asia Chamber and Singularity Institute proposed cooperation in establishing a research laboratory and setting up a mental health clinic in Đà Nẵng. In addition, they explored the possibility of establishing a law firm operating within the International Financial Center, as well as collaborating to train high-quality legal professionals.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">Welcoming these proposals, the Vice Chairman expressed the hope that the Vietnam International Financial Center in Đà Nẵng would become a member of SwissCham ASIA; at the same time, he assigned relevant agencies to soon concretize the cooperation content in February 2026 and proposed collaboration to promote Vietnamese ginseng in the European market.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">Working with the Swiss Banking Association in Zurich, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee exchanged experiences on developing a modern financial center, green finance, and digital finance, while requesting the Association's support in connecting Swiss financial institutions and banks for research and investment promotion in Đà Nẵng.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">Appreciating Vietnam's development orientation, the Swiss Banking Association emphasized the crucial importance of completing the legal framework, establishing a flexible development roadmap, and building trust in the process of forming an international financial center.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">On January 20, in Switzerland, the Đà Nẵng City delegation, led by Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hồ Quang Bửu, held meetings with various organizations, enterprises, and international partners in the fields of innovation, high technology, cybersecurity, fintech, blockchain, and digital assets.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">In Davos, the delegation met with Yubico, the Lithuanian Crypto Economy Organization, and Lithuania's Web3 to discuss potential collaborations and opportunities in cybersecurity, secure semiconductors, fintech, blockchain, and the development of the digital asset ecosystem, in line with the plan to establish an International Financial Center in Đà Nẵng.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">On the same day, the working delegation exchanged international experiences with Coinbase (USA) regarding the development and supervision of the digital asset market, investor protection, anti-money laundering, risk management, and blockchain infrastructure development. On this basis, the delegation proposed that Coinbase provide policy advisory support and research on participating in controlled pilot models (sandbox), in line with the development orientation of the International Financial Center.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">Identifying science and technology, innovation, and digital finance as important growth drivers, the Vice Chairman Hồ Quang Bửu expressed the desire to strengthen international cooperation and attract high-quality investment.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">Amid the bustling atmosphere of the days leading up to Tet, more than 350 international students from 26 countries studying at the University of Đà Nẵng’s College of Education – participated in the "Vietnamese Tết for International Students" program on the afternoon of January 22. This is an annual activity organized by the University to introduce and promote the traditional cultural values of Vietnam to the international student community.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">During the program, international students experienced various traditional Tết activities such as calligraphy, making bánh chưng and bánh tét, while enjoying traditional sweets and cakes, thereby feeling the warm, family-oriented spirit of Vietnamese Tết. The activity helps students gain a deeper understanding of Vietnamese customs and cultural life, preserves beautiful memories during their study in Đà Nẵng, and contributes to building a multicultural, open, and integrated educational environment.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">Chairman of the City People's Committee, Phạm Đức Ấn, emphasized the importance of the National Assembly's resolutions in addressing institutional bottlenecks, improving the legal framework, and creating an open and preferential environment to attract investment, identifying this as a key political task of the city.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">Chairman of the City People's Committee, Phạm Đức Ấn, emphasized that 2025 is a particularly important milestone with the unification of Đà Nẵng City and Quảng Nam Province, expanding space and development potential, while implementing a streamlined, efficient, and effective two-tier local government model. This serves as a foundation for the city to make a breakthrough, achieve sustainable development, and affirm its role as the economic, social, and financial hub and growth pole of the Central – Central Highlands region.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">Secretary of the City Party Committee Lê Ngọc Quang welcomed the new Consul General in her position and affirmed that Danang always values and continuously nurtures the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos. <p style="text-align:justify;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">At noon on January 27, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyễn Đình Vĩnh presided over a meeting with Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Champasak Provincial Party Committee (Lao PDR) Souphap Thammahacksa and the delegation visiting and working in Danang City. </span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">Permanent Deputy Secretary Nguyễn Đình Vĩnh welcomed the delegation and provided an overview of Danang's socio-economic development in 2025, along with the development goals and targets for 2026. He also stated that the city leadership had agreed on a cooperation program with the southern and central provinces of Laos for the 2026–2030 period, including Champasak Province, to continue implementing previous commitments and incorporate the proposals from the Laos side into the joint cooperation program.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">At noon on January 26th, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hồ Quang Bửu received and held a working session with a delegation from Vientiane Capital (Laos) to learn about and exchange experiences in operating the Public Administration Service Center model. </span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">The Vice Chairman emphasized that administrative reform is a key task, in which science, technology, and digital transformation are identified as foundations for building a smart city and improving the quality of service for citizens and businesses. The city is actively reviewing and simplifying administrative procedures, reducing compliance time and costs, enhancing digitalization of records, providing electronic results, implementing procedures independent of administrative boundaries, while also applying various free utilities and humane service models at the Public Administration Service Centers.</span></p>
