European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam Explores Investment Opportunities in Da Nang
On the afternoon of May 12th, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi hosted a reception for the delegation of the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, led by Mr. Bruno Jaspaert, Chairman of the Chamber.
Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Anh Thi expressed her pleasure in welcoming the delegation to visit and work during a special occasion – as Da Nang city and Quang Nam province are preparing for their merger.
After merging with Quang Nam province, (the new) Da Nang city will become the centrally-governed city with the largest area in the country and the most populous urban area in the Central region.
"In particular, we will possess two airports along with a large seaport system, creating ideal conditions to develop into a logistics and international cargo transshipment center. At the same time, with a strong foundation of industrial and information technology infrastructure, Da Nang city is ready to become a high-tech, microchip-semiconductor, artificial intelligence (AI), supporting industry, automotive, electronics, etc. center," emphasized Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Anh Thi.
Mr. Bruno Jaspaert stated that Da Nang is a target investment destination for the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam in the future. Therefore, Mr. Bruno Jaspaert expressed his hope that there will be more working sessions in Da Nang in the coming time to allow more private enterprises to come to the city to explore and cooperate in investment.
