Danang Promotes Strategic Cooperation with the EU Across Multiple Sectors
At a meeting with the European Union (EU) Commission Delegation on the morning of March 26, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hồ Quang Bửu expressed Danang's desire to strengthen cooperation with the EU. The proposed areas of cooperation include science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, transport infrastructure, seaports, clean energy, and high-quality human resource training.
The EU side highly valued Da Nang's potential and development orientation. The EU affirmed it will continue to accompany the city and expand cooperation in its areas of strength, such as logistics, renewable energy, and urban transportation.
Both parties reviewed past cooperation results, highlighting the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the City People's Committee and the Agency for Economic Cooperation and Development (AED) of Austria, signed within the framework of the EU-Vietnam Business and Investment Forum.

<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">The Danang Venture and Angel Investment Forum 2026 (DAVAS 2026), themed “Innovation Meets Global Investment,” gathers over 30 investment funds, 120 international experts, and 62 technology startups in the fields of AI, Web3, blockchain, fintech, healthtech, edtech, greentech, among others.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">At the bilateral survey at the Tây Giang (Danang) - Ka Lum (Sekong) border gate area on the morning of May 14, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Phan Thái Bình and Chairman of the Sekong Provincial Government Committee Khanty Silavongsath agreed on the policy and coordination plans to prepare the necessary conditions to upgrade the Tây Giang - Ka Lum border gate to a main border gate before 2030.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">Both sides conducted a field survey, determining the scope of the border gate area, suitable locations, and coordinates to serve planning purposes, forming the basis for proposing adjustments to the planning and developing the design for the main border gate.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">The competition included 15 events split between the beach at East Sea Park (An Hai Ward) and the high-performance swimming pool (Hoa Cuong Ward).</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">At the beach, there are 9 events such as: beach sprints, relay swimming, team surf paddling, rescue tube rescues, rescue board relays, flag grabbing, and coracle racing... Meanwhile, 6 events at the pool focus on specialized skills such as: cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), victim towing relays, 10m line throws, line throw relays, and 50m victim carries...</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">The "AI Tells Birdsong Stories" model has been deployed through listening stations in natural ecosystems like the Dam River and Cua Garden (Southern Da Nang).</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">The AI system will record sounds, identify bird species, and provide information regarding their characteristics, behaviors, and habitats, helping residents and tourists gain a deeper understanding of the natural world.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">At the working session with the World Bank (WB) mission on the project 'Integrated Adaptive Development for Quang Nam Province (now Danang City)' on the morning of May 6, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng requested accelerating the implementation progress in order to quickly realize investment effectiveness; at the same time, he affirmed that the city will utilize existing resettlement areas, ensure timely handover of land, and proactively provide construction materials.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">This season marks the first time Vietnam will host a full-distance VNG IRONMAN, while also celebrating the 10th season of VNG IRONMAN 70.3 Danang. The event opened on May 10 at East Sea Park.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">Athletes will conquer the coastal routes of Danang in a triathlon. For VNG IRONMAN 70.3, the distances include a 1.9 km swim, a 90 km bike ride, and a 21.1 km run; for the full-distance IRONMAN, the competitions consist of a 3.8 km swim, a 180 km bike ride, and a 42.2 km run.</p>

The city will continue to create favorable conditions for the project to be implemented effectively and wishes to expand cooperation with Indian partners in heritage preservation, scientific research, human resource training, and sustainable tourism development.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">The project is implemented on the basis of cooperation agreements between the governments of the two countries, with a total funding support from the Government of India of about 115 billion VND. <p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">The showdown between the German team and the Macau (China) team was considered an exciting contest between two distinct styles of fireworks. Not only leaving an artistic impression, DIFF 2026 continues to serve as a driving force for the growth of tourism in Danang.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;;line-height:30px">According to statistics, after three nights of competition, accommodation facilities in the city have served more than 326,000 guests, an increase of 36.7% compared to the same period in 2025.
