Asian Diving Championships and Youth Diving Championships 2012 close in Da Nang
Viet Nam were the winners of the Asian Youth Diving Championships 2012, which ended in Da Nang on 9 November, bringing home 14 golds, 4 silvers and 6 bronzes. The Korean divers ranked second with 5 golds, 10 silvers and 9 bronzes, and in third place were Taiwan (China) with 5 golds, 4 silvers and 1 bronze.
In the 13th Asian Diving Championships, the Korean team took the championship with 15 golds, 7 silvers and 5 bronzes. The Chinese divers came second with 11 golds, 14 silvers and 10 bronzes, followed by the Taiwan (China) divers with 3 golds, 1 silver and 1 bronze. Viet Nam ranked 4th with 2 silvers.
The three-day event attracted nearly 160 divers from China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, the Republic of Korea, Kyzgyzstan, the Philippines, Taiwan (China), Thailand and the host country Viet Nam. The competitors competed in 30 events at the 13th Asian Diving Championships, and 24 events at the Asian Youth Diving Championships 2012.
