Strengthening High-Quality Human Resource Training Cooperation between Da Nang and Kanagawa

On the morning of November 14, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang, hosted Governor Kuroiwa Yuji of Kanagawa Prefecture (Japan). During the meeting, Secretary Quang proposed that the two localities enhance delegation exchanges at all levels, cultural exchanges, and especially cooperation in high-quality human resource development.

Strengthening Party Foreign Relations, Promoting Friendly Cooperation between Da Nang and Cuba

At a meeting with the Embassy of Vietnam in Cuba on November 14, Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Le Trung Chinh stated that the Ambassador would continue to promote the friendship and cooperation between Da Nang and Cuban localities.

On this occasion, the Da Nang delegation donated $10,000 USD to support Nguyen Van Troi Primary School, a symbol of the close relationship between the (former) Quang Nam - Da Nang province and Cuba. The delegation also offered flowers in remembrance for President Ho Chi Minh at the park named after him in La Habana Capital.

Signing of Memorandum on Carbon Neutral City Project between Da Nang and Sakai

In the framework of an official visit to Japan, the Da Nang city delegation, led by Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Quang Nam visited and held a working session with the Vietnamese Consulate General in Osaka on the morning of November 11. At the meeting, Vice Chairman Le Quang Nam expressed hope that the Vietnamese Consulate General in Osaka would assist in connecting Japanese investors and businesses to survey and explore the investment environment in the city, especially in the microchip and semiconductor sectors.

On the same day, Vice Chairman Le Quang Nam also conducted a meeting and signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the Carbon Neutral City Project with Sakai City. The project has been approved for funding by the Japanese Ministry of Environment and will be implemented over 3 years from 2025-2028.

Da Nang and Yokohama (Japan) Share Experiences on Underground Space Development

At a meeting with Yokohama City (Japan) on the morning of November 12, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Le Quang Nam requested Yokohama City to support and share their experiences in urban planning and management, enabling Da Nang to study and appropriately apply these in its future city planning.

Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy Crowned Miss International 2024

On the evening of November 12 (Hanoi time), Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy from Da Nang, Vietnam, triumphed over 75 contestants to be crowned Miss International 2024 in Tokyo, Japan. Thanh Thuy has made history as the first Vietnamese beauty to win the Miss International.
