IT training for people with disabilities from central region
On 3 December, The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) cooperated with Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and Da Nang’s Dong A University to launch the first course of an IT training programme (ITTP) for disabled people from Da Nang and some other provinces and cities in the central region of Viet Nam.

The 9 billion VND programme was expanded to Da Nang following its success in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City.  This is the first time such a programme has been implemented in the central region and highlands of Viet Nam.

The ITTP, implemented from now until 2015, will provide training in IT skills including graphics design, programming and website development, plus English and some soft skills for more than 250 students with disabilities.  When courses end, about 80% of the trainees will be assisted to find jobs.
