From July 12th to 23rd, at the area around the Dragon Bridge, the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Da Nang (JCCID) organized a lighting-art space with 500,000 LED lights. Thisis part of a series of activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.
Specifically, a large-scale lighting system with three themes: Sakura Dom and Sakura Garden, inspired by Japanese themes, and the Lotus Pond, inspired by the lotus pond in Vietnam, will be installed at the West Bank Park of the Dragon Bridge.
In an effort to promote economic and cultural exchanges between Japan and Vietnam, the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Da Nang (JCCID) has established a special executive committee to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan. They are also collaborating with the Da Nang City to organize a light space for Vietnamese people to visit and enjoy.
In addition, from July 13th to 16th, the Vietnam-Japan Festival will take place at the East Sea Park with various exchange programs in many fields to promote international cooperation between Da Nang City and Japanese representative agencies in Vietnam, as well as with localities, organizations, businesses, and Japanese artists.
Alongside the Japan Study Abroad Information Day, an exhibition of paintings by students from Japanese cities with cooperative relationships with Da Nang, themed "Vietnam-Japan in Me," and a football exchange class between Da Nang children and the Kawasaki Frontale Football Club from Japan, there will be artistic exchange activities including Japanese flower arrangement, martial arts, Vietnamese-Japanese rock music night, and a special performance by Japanese piano and vocal artist Keiko Borjeson, who has over 70 years of experience playing the piano and touring around the world.
On this occasion, Kim Dong Publishing House will also appear with famous characters such as Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and Nami from the One Piece manga.
Attending the Vietnam-Japan Festival 2023, besides enjoying the extremely interesting programs and a series of unique and distinctive performances, people and visitors will have the opportunity to experience the serene tea ceremony - a refined beauty of Japanese culture. Tea ceremony in Japan is not just about drinking tea; it also embodies a concept of purity, harmony, and the transcendence of compassion.
