In the morning on 23rd October, the Da Nang People’s Committee cooperated with the Viet Nam Software Association (VINASA) to organize Smart City Summit 2019 with the theme of “Building a smarter and safer city through digital solutions”. The event had the participation of Mr. Phan Tam - Deputy Minister of Information and Communications; Mr. Huynh Duc Tho – Chairman of the City People’s Committee together with more than 500 representatives who are leaders of international smart cities, scientists and IT enterprises.

The Department of Education and Training of the city required heads of units and schools to seriously carry out urgent tasks, including: cleaning schools and classes, disinfecting kitchen utensils, personal items, etc. before students go back to school after the Lunar New Year holiday. At the same time, it was also required to promote activities of communication, propaganda, education and guidance on disease prevention skills in the winter-spring season and prevention of acute pneumonia caused by the new strain of COVID-19.

New Australian ambassador says education cooperation will increase
During his first official visit to Da Nang, the new Australian ambassador to Viet Nam, Mr. Hugh Borrowman, expressed his delight at the fine development of the relationship between the city and Australia.
