The Da Nang - Ahmedabad (India) route operated by Vietjet is expected to serve passengers from October 2024, opening up many opportunities for tourism development, business, and cultural exchange between the two localities.
Ahmedabad is the largest city in Gujarat state, beautiful and ancient in its own way with architectural works from ancient to modern times. Gujarat is home to many large Indian enterprises investing in Vietnam. The Da Nang - Ahmedabad (India) route is expected to contribute to the strong development of economic, investment, tourism, and cultural exchange relations between the two sides. Vietjet currently has the most direct routes between Vietnam and India. The total number of passengers transported between Vietnam and India by Vietjet has reached nearly 1.3 million.
In preparation for this event, the City People's Committee has assigned the Department of Tourism to coordinate with the Department of Culture and Sports to support communication and promotion of the Da Nang - Ahmedabad (India) route and requested tourism businesses to participate in promoting the Ahmedabad to Da Nang route on their channels. Da Nang International Airport, Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company, and Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company will organize the reception and communication for the first flight reopening from Ahmedabad to Da Nang. At the same time, they will organize a Famtrip delegation from Ahmedabad to Da Nang, combined with organizing a connection program and route promotion in Da Nang.
The City Tourism Association will coordinate with the Department of Tourism and Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company to organize a promotional program in Ahmedabad during the route inauguration. They will link tourism businesses and Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company to develop and announce the sale of tour programs and stimulus programs to exploit and attract two-way tourists to maintain and develop the Ahmedabad - Da Nang route.
