On November 14 (local time), a city delegation led by Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh visited and worked in Cuba at the invitation of the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam.

Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh and Ambassador of Vietnam to Cuba Le Quang Long
During the meeting with the Vietnamese Embassy in Cuba, Chairman Le Trung Chinh stated that this visit to Cuba by Da Nang City is a continuation of the long-standing traditional relationship between Vietnam and Cuba, affirming the affection of Da Nang's people for the Cuban people.
Chairman Le Trung Chinh requested the Vietnamese Embassy in Cuba to continue promoting friendly cooperative relations between Da Nang and Cuban localities, looking towards the 65th anniversary of Vietnam-Cuba diplomatic relations in 2025 (December 2, 1960 - December 2, 2025).
Ambassador of Vietnam to Cuba, Mr. Le Quang Long, affirmed that Da Nang has great potential to develop friendly and cooperative relations with Cuban partners in trade promotion, tourism, cultural exchange, and people-to-people diplomacy. In the coming time, the Ambassador will continue to act as a bridge to promote relations and cooperation between Cuban localities and Da Nang City.
On this occasion, through the Vietnamese Embassy in Cuba, Da Nang City expressed sympathy to the Party, State, and people of Cuba for the damages caused by hurricanes Oscar and Rafael in late October and early November 2024. The city also provided $10,000 in support to Nguyen Van Troi Elementary School - a symbol of the close relationship between the former Quang Nam - Da Nang province and Cuba.
