Promote friendly relations and cooperation with Russian localities
At the meeting with Ms. Maria Mizonova Georgievna, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Danang, on the afternoon of August 18, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly delegation of Danang City Lê Ngọc Quang, highly appreciated the Consul General's role as a bridge for promoting cooperation between Danang and Russian localities, especially in cultural exchanges, people-to-people diplomacy, and the promotion of Russian culture and language.
The City Party Secretary acknowledged contributions in connecting and restoring flights between Danang and Russia, helping to boost the Russian tourist market; at the same time, he expressed the desire to continue promoting Danang in Russia, enhancing people-to-people exchanges and tourism.
Ms. Maria Mizonova Georgievna assessed that Danang-Russian localities relations have seen many positive developments, particularly in cultural exchanges, delegation exchanges, and aviation connectivity; she hopes the number of Russian visitors to Danang will continue to increase and that tourists will return to the city multiple times.

Expand cooperation and attract investment from German enterprises
At the working session with German Consul General in Hồ Chí Minh City Andrea Sühl and Chairman of the German Business Association in Vietnam (GBA) Alexander Ziehe on the afternoon of August 21, the Standing Vice Chairman of City People's Committee Hồ Kỳ Minh stated that Danang aims to attract German enterprises to invest in high technology, advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, logistics, energy, and the environment; at the same time, to strengthen cooperation in education, research, technology transfer, and the development of high-quality services. The city is committed to improving the investment environment, promoting administrative reforms, digital transformation, and accompanying enterprises.
The GBA is interested in new development areas such as the High-Tech Park, Free Trade Zone, semiconductor ecosystem, and logistics, and proposes establishing a regular contact point with the city. Consul General Andrea Sühl affirmed continued support for connecting the German business community with Danang.
On this occasion, GBA and the Management Board of Danang Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Zones signed a memorandum of understanding to promote cooperation and enhance the presence of German enterprises in the city.

Groundbreaking of Tam Thăng Industrial Park Expansion 2
On the morning of August 22, the City People's Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Tam Thăng Industrial Park Expansion Phase 2 project with a total investment of 550 billion VND in Thăng Trường Commune.
The Tam Thăng Industrial Park Expansion Phase 2 project was approved for investment policy in June 2025, covering an area of approximately 110.7 hectares. It is a component within the industrial subdivision development space of Tam Thăng Industrial Park, belonging to the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, according to the plan approved by the Prime Minister and oriented according to the General Plan of Danang City.

SURF 2026: Promote the innovative startup ecosystem to reach an international level
At the Danang Innovation and Startup Festival - SURF 2026 with the theme “Era of Expansion - Pioneering Creativity” on the morning of August 19, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hồ Quang Bửu emphasized that Danang identifies innovation as a core development driver, committing to shift strongly from “management” to “creation and accompaniment,” expanding cooperation, and attracting knowledge, technology, and international capital.
On this occasion, Danang received certification from StartupBlink as the fastest-growing startup ecosystem in Vietnam, ranking among the Top 20 most dynamic startup ecosystems globally in 2026. The city also signed 5 memorandums of understanding on cooperation connecting the startup ecosystem, investors, technology enterprises, and international markets; provided the support of 893 million VND to 2 technology-innovating enterprises; and launched the SVentures Investment Fund in Danang while awarding the Danang Innovation and Startup Competition 2026.

Make technology a new driving force for tourism and services
At the Horecfex 2026 Forum - the forum on technology, innovation, and supply for the Hotel and Tourism industry on the morning of August 20, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hồ Quang Bửu emphasized that technology is an important driver to enhance the competitiveness of Danang's tourism and service sector. The city aims to integrate AI, data, automation, and green, smart solutions into the operations of hotels, restaurants, and resorts, from management and operation to improving the tourist experience; at the same time, it is committed to completing digital infrastructure, data systems, and an innovation ecosystem to enable businesses to research, experiment, and apply new technologies.
The forum featured nearly 100 booths showcasing products, equipment, and technology solutions such as AI, robots, smart glasses, virtual reality, Projection Mapping, Laser Mapping, and LED Dancing; along with more than 40 sessions of presentations, dialogues, and workshops on AI, technology transformation, human resources, MICE, F&B, sustainable development, and healthcare.

On the evenings of August 28 and 29, in the area opposite Sơn Trà night market (An Hải Ward), Danang city will organize the Program for Introducing and Promoting Ngọc Linh Ginseng Products and Medicinal Herbs in Danang City 2026 with the theme “The Journey of National Treasure Ngọc Linh Ginseng - Connecting the Experience Space of Ngọc Linh Ginseng and Danang's Medicinal Products.”
The program will take place from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM on August 28 and 29 and is expected to exhibit around 50 booths with an area of approximately 600 m², creating a space to introduce, promote, and connect the consumption of Ngọc Linh Ginseng products, medicinal products, and products processed from medicinal herbs.
The booths will be arranged in areas including displaying Ngọc Linh Ginseng and processed products from Ngoc Linh Ginseng; displaying medicinal herbs and processed products from medicinal herbs; demonstration and experience of Ngọc Linh Ginseng and medicinal herbs.
A highlight of the program is the experience zone linking products with local culture and community activities.

ASEAN students develop AI solutions for urban development, healthcare, and education
The ASEAN Education Organization (P2A), in collaboration with Duy Tân University, organized the award ceremony for the ASEAN AI Hackathon 2026 (AAIH 2026).
Held from August 19 to 21 under the theme "AI for a Resilient ASEAN: Innovation, Sustainability, and Humanity," the final round brought together 16 teams from universities in 7 Southeast Asian countries. Vietnam had 2 participating teams, Duy Tân University and Đồng Nai University of Technology.
The First Prize was awarded to the CIT-U Shane-nanigans team (Philippines); two Second Prizes were given to UI-WICARA ASEAN (Indonesia) and UM-Gunners (Malaysia). Three Third Prizes went to PUPQ-Hackbigans (Philippines), DTU - AEGISFLOW AI from Duy Tân University (Vietnam), and the CU team (Thailand).

Danang agreed to allocate 2.85 billion VND from the budget as corresponding funds to implement Phase 2 of the Kack Hyun Elderly Care Center Upgrade Project.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">Danang has completed the administrative procedures system under the special mechanism for the Free Trade Zone (FTZ), including the addition of 34 administrative procedures related to import and export, and has assigned the Danang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones Management Board (DSEZA) to issue Certificates of Origin (C/O), laying a foundation ready to put the FTZ into operation, and enhancing the effectiveness of investment attraction and international trade development. </span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">This group of procedures is particularly important, helping to complete the administrative procedure chain that serves investment, production, trade, and export activities in the Danang FTZ. </span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">To date, DSEZA has completed the entire administrative procedure system within its authority under the special mechanisms and policies for the Danang FTZ and is ready to implement it when the functional zones of the FTZ officially operate.</span></p>

<p align="center" style="text-align:center;line-height:30px"><b>Approval of investment policy for the VSIP Danang Industrial Park project nearly 250 hectares in scale</b></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">The Chairman of the City People's Committee approved the investment policy and simultaneously approved the investor to implement the project on Investment in Construction and Business of Infrastructure of VSIP Danang Industrial Park in Điện Bàn Bắc Ward. The project covers an area of 249.8 hectares with a total investment of VND 3,730 billion. </span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">According to the Decision, the investor implementing the project is Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park Joint Venture Company Limited (VSIP). The project's objective is to invest in the construction and business of industrial park infrastructure, including management and operation activities. </span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;line-height:30px"><span style="text-justify:inter-ideograph">The project is expected to begin marketing and investment promotion activities from the third quarter of 2028.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:11px;line-height:30px">The program will take place from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM on August 28 and 29, expected to gather around 50 booths covering an area of approximately 600 square meters, creating a space for introduction, promotion, and connection for the consumption of Ngọc Linh Ginseng products, medicinal herbs, and products processed from medicinal herbs.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:11px;line-height:30px">The booths are arranged in areas including: displaying Ngọc Linh Ginseng and products processed from Ngọc Linh Ginseng; displaying medicinal herbs and products processed from medicinal herbs; demonstrations and experiences with Ngọc Linh Ginseng and medicinal herbs.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:11px;line-height:30px">The highlight of the program is the experiential space linking products with local culture and community activities. During the event, visitors can enjoy gong dances and Xoang circle dances of the mountainous ethnic communities, thereby recreating the distinctive cultural space of the Ngọc Linh Ginseng cultivation area.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:11px;line-height:30px">In addition, street music will be featured throughout the program with the participation of young music groups and independent artists, creating a lively atmosphere and increasing interaction with locals and tourists. Traditional folk games will also be organized, contributing to a space for exchange, experience, and the promotion of traditional cultural values.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:11px;line-height:30px">Not only serving as a product promotion activity, the program aims to establish a connection between Ngọc Linh Ginseng, medicinal herbs, and culture and tourism, thereby enhancing the value and brand recognition of Ngọc Linh Ginseng and herbal products of Danang city.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:11px;line-height:30px">According to the plan, the program simultaneously creates opportunities for businesses and cooperatives to connect with distributors and partners both domestically and internationally, expand their consumer markets, and promote exports. Participating units have the chance to access information about the market, quality standards, and legal regulations; enhance production and business capabilities; and accelerate the application of digital technology in trade promotion. </p>
<p style="text-align:justify; margin-bottom:11px;line-height:30px">The organization of the program also aims to concretize the policies and directions for the development of Ngọc Linh Ginseng and medicinal herbs, gradually promoting the formation of a value chain from production and processing to commerce and services within the city. </p>
