City leaders welcome the officers and sailors of the Vendemiaire Frigate (French Navy)

On the afternoon of April 11th, Mr. Tran Chi Cuong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, hosted a reception for the delegation of the Vendemiaire frigate (French Navy) commanded by Lieutenant Commander Sebastien Drouelle.

During the reception, Vice Chairman Tran Chi Cuong, expressed his pleasure in welcoming Lieutenant Commander Sebastien Drouelle and 98 officers and sailors of the frigate who arrived at Tien Sa port to begin their 5-day diplomatic visit to Da Nang (from April 11th to 15th).

Vice Chairman Tran Chi Cuong stated that Da Nang is expanding its cooperative relationships with many countries and territories around the world. Currently, the city has friendly relations with 48 localities of 22 countries and territories. Every year, Da Nang regularly receives visits from warships, frigates, and tourist ships for exchange and experience sharing in various fields.

"This visit by the French Navy frigate to Da Nang contributes to strengthening mutual friendship and trust. It is also in line with the strategic partnership between Vietnam and France in general, and between Da Nang and France in particular," affirmed Vice Chairman Tran Chi Cuong.

Lieutenant Commander Sebastien Drouelle expressed gratitude for the warm reception by Da Nang city and hoped that the visit of the Vendemiaire frigate would contribute to enhancing the relationship between France and Da Nang. Additionally, the members of the delegation will have many memorable experiences in the coastal city.
