Technical opening of Tran Thi Ly Bridge
A ceremony was held recently to celebrate the joining and technical opening of Tran Thi Ly Bridge after nearly 03 years of construction. The new three-span cable-stayed bridge will have a total length of 731 metres and is designed to carry loads up to 32,000 tonnes. The six-lane bridge will have a 145-metre high tower with cables forming an upside-down capital “Y” and looking like sails.

The project will cost a total of approximately 1,500 billion VND.   It is scheduled to be opened to traffic on the 38th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang, 29 March 2013.

The completion of this bridge would facilitate Da Nang’s socio-economic development and enhance traffic capacity at the eastern side of the city.
